The cost of school meals are :-

Per day £2.55

Payment for school dinners can be made online using School Gateway. You are only charged for meals taken and any balances are carried forward.  If you are not already registered to make online payments, please contact the school office for further information.

School meals are to be paid for in advance and may be obtained free of charge under certain circumstances. If you think you may be entitled to free school meals, call the council to check on 393939 or call in at one of the Customer Service Centres. This could save you a lot of money and it also means that the school receives additional money to support your child too, called Pupil Premium.

*PLEASE DO NOT PACK ANY NUTS OR NUT PRODUCT INTO PACKED LUNCHES DUE TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE SEVERE NUT ALLERGIES. THANK YOU*

At St Mary’s we have our own kitchen and Mrs Scurll,  our cook, provides delicious meals at lunchtime which meet the Government nutritional standards. We also offer sandwich or jack potato options which are very popular.

All children in foundation stage, Year 1 and Year 2 receive a free school meal and it is expected that they will have a school meal every day.

Once children reach Year 3, they may bring a packed lunch if they wish but this must be healthy. No sweets are allowed.  Our school sandwich option is exceedingly popular and we encourage this rather than bringing in a packed lunch. If your child brings a packed lunch to school please ensure their packed lunch box/bag is named Water is available at school so there is no need to pack a drink. Please do not pack hot food since there is a scald risk. Straws and spoons should be sent when necessary.
